Occupant Dynamics is the science that allows us to answer technical questions surrounding the results of motor vehicle crashes as it relates to the movement of occupants within crashing vehicles.
Our experts can study a crash event and answer questions such as:
1. What was the magnitude of the collision? This means how much force was involved so that the injury mechanism is well understood. With the quantification of the magnitude we can determine the occupant excursion relative to seat belt usage or air bag deployment. We can also determine if the magnitude of the impact is above the empirical threshold for injury to neck or back.
2. We can determine if the use of seat belts would have or did prevent occupant ejection.
3. We can determine who was driving at the moment of collision.
